Watermelon Pandan Seeds
Overview
Lanzi is also called Lanxiangzi, and its scientific name is Mingliezi. It is an annual aromatic subshrub-like herbaceous plant of the Lamiaceae family. It is native to Thailand and is also known as pearl fruit. It is the mature fruit of a plant called basil (also known as orchid, coriander, basil seeds or orchid seeds). Coming from areas with severe drought and little rainfall, seeds have naturally evolved to possess the physical properties of expanding about 30 times after absorbing water, storing water and increasing the chance of germination of seeds. It is about the size of sesame seeds. When soaked in boiling water, it will quickly absorb water and expand. When ingested into the human body, it can promote intestinal peristalsis and help digestion. In addition, it can also clear the intestines and improve eyesight; it has a detoxifying effect on many harmful ingredients in food.
