Heat milk and fine sugar over water. While heating, stir constantly until the sugar melts, then let it sit until warm. (Figure 1)

Add eggs, mix well, and the pudding liquid is ready. (Figure 2)

Sieve the pudding liquid. (Figure 3)

Add a few drops of vanilla extract. (Figure 4)

Add the sugar and water for the caramel ingredients into the pot, heat over medium heat, and stir constantly. Large bubbles will form at the beginning. Continue to cook until the syrup turns light amber. (The caramel will be bitter if the color is too dark!) (Picture 5)

Pour the caramel liquid into the pudding mold. (Figure 6)

Pour the pudding liquid into the container. (Picture 7) Preheat the oven to 160 degrees. Pour hot water into the baking pan and put in the pudding bottle. The water should exceed half of the pudding liquid. It will take about 40 minutes for the pudding liquid to solidify. Cool and store in the refrigerator.
