Overview

This year's Mid-Autumn Festival falls during the National Day. I have a short holiday and I have to run around. It is a must to bring a box of mooncakes. There are some things that need to be prepared in advance, and converting syrup is one of them.

  1. Prepare the ingredients.

  2. Wash the lemon and slice into slices.

  3. Add sugar to boiling water.

  4. Cook while stirring until the sugar dissolves.

  5. When the sugar is completely dissolved, add the lemon slices. Do not stir after adding the lemon slices, and use low heat until the end.

  6. If the syrup splashes on the wall of the pot, just dip a brush in some water and brush it around.

  7. It will turn amber in about forty-five minutes, turn off the heat and let cool.

  8. Bottle and seal, store in a cool room at room temperature.
