-
Wipe the surface of the grapefruit clean with salt,
-
Separate the grapefruit and disperse
-
Remove the white layer inside the pomelo peel, try to remove the white layer as clean as possible, and then soak it in 65-degree water for about 20 minutes.
-
Cut the soaked pomelo peel into strips,
-
Prepare a large pot of water and boil it. Add the pomelo peel and meat together and cook for about 5 minutes. Pour away the water.
-
Use a food processor to blend the watered skin and meat into a paste, add some water appropriately,
-
Put the stirred grapefruit paste into a pot (preferably a non-stick pot) and bring to a boil,
-
Add rock sugar and bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to medium heat and simmer slowly.
-
Then turn from medium to low heat and simmer slowly. It took me more than three hours to cook it.
-
After boiling, let it cool. Keep stirring during the cooking process. Don't be lazy. I used red-fleshed pomelo, so the color is darker. If it is white-fleshed, it will be golden.
-
After cooling, add honey and mix well before bottling.

A 5-pound grapefruit + 2-pound honey is cooked.
