【Lotus Fruit Platter】--- The ninth dish of 2012 New Year’s Eve Dinner
Overview
This is already the ninth course. Now it’s time to have a plate of fruit. I think everyone can make a fruit platter. There is no technical content in this, but it is still indispensable at the banquet. I didn't specially prepare some good fruits, so I made one with ready-made ones at home. During the Chinese New Year, you can also choose some good fruits to make according to your own preferences. The fruit platter can be made into many shapes. This time I decided to make it look like a lotus, because the lotus is not only a symbol of holiness, but also a symbol of happiness, representing harmony and beauty. Here, through the fruit plate, I wish every family eternal harmony and happiness! In addition, regarding the serving time of the fruit plate, this may vary from place to place. In our banquet, the fruit plate is always served during the meal, while in some places it seems to be served after the meal. This is not the point, just follow your own preferences.

Steps
-
Prepare and wash the fruit.

Cut the orange into 8 pieces with the middle as the center.

Use a knife to separate the skin and meat, leaving a little bit at the bottom to avoid spreading.

After cutting, place in the middle of the plate.

Cut off a little bit at a slight angle at the bottom for better presentation.

Cut each piece into pieces like in the picture. (You can take 2 or 4 slices, or all of them. I cut it while the baby eats it, so I left 2 slices for each portion)

Take a small half of a dragon fruit, cut it into slices, and use a mold to carve out the shape.
