Overview

Compared to loose leaf lettuce, I prefer the texture of head lettuce, which is crisp and tender enough. Some people like to blanch the lettuce in boiling water and then add it to the pot for seasoning, but I think that stir-frying over high heat will make the garlic flavor wrap around the lettuce more evenly and blend with the lettuce, without the moisture caused by the blanching process, and the taste will be richer.

  1. Raw materials are ready

  2. After the pot is hot, pour in the oil. It is lighter and healthier. It is best to put less oil. Pour in the garlic, turn down the heat, and slowly release the garlic aroma.

  3. Increase the heat to maximum and stir-fry until the lettuce becomes slightly docile.

  4. When the lettuce turns slightly transparent, pour in light soy sauce, salt, and sugar. Salt is the main seasoning. Just a little bit more sugar and light soy sauce.

  5. Stir fry evenly and remove from the pan. This dish is best prepared and served immediately as it tastes great.
