Overview

In the past, I soaked the glutinous rice for a while, then poured it into the bread machine with water, and started the rice cake program. It took an hour to bake and 20 minutes of stirring. I always felt that the waiting time was too long, and it had to be stirred every 20 minutes during baking, which was very troublesome. Today's recipe saves a lot of time and eliminates the need for stirring. Now making rice cakes is more convenient.

  1. Soak the glutinous rice for more than 3 hours, and then grind the glutinous rice into small pieces. I soaked it the night before and made it the next day.

  2. Drain the water, place on a steamer and steam until cooked through, about 40 to 50 minutes. (You can also add a small amount of water to the same level as the glutinous rice and steam it in a rice cooker)

  3. After steaming, pour it into the bread machine bucket while it is still hot, and start the dough mixing program for 15 minutes.

  4. Pour it onto a non-stick baking pan, spread it flat, let it cool, shape it, cut it into pieces, and you can quickly package it. Take it out and process it when you want to eat it. You can also mix it with brown sugar while it’s hot and eat it, it’s super delicious!
