Wuxi Spare Ribs

I ate this dish in the canteen of my former workplace and found it very delicious. I learned to make it myself today and my husband couldn’t stop praising it, it was delicious.

Cut the pork ribs into long pieces, boil water in a pot, blanch the pork ribs for a while, remove and drain the water.

Slice ginger and dice garlic.

Take a bowl, add more light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, more sugar, more tomato paste, then add vinegar and salt, mix well.

Heat the oil in a pan, add the ginger and garlic, add the drained pork ribs into the pan and stir-fry for a while.

Add some water to the seasoned sauce (step 3), then add three star anise and one piece of cinnamon, pour it into the pot and stir-fry.

Put the fried ribs into a pot, cover with water and stew in a pressure cooker until cooked through. Pour the juice into the pot after taking it out of the pot, then add water starch to thicken it and it is ready to eat.
