Sugar water cherries

Sugar water cherries

Overview

Now is the season when cherries are on the market in large quantities. The cherry fruits are as red as agate, bright in color, crystal clear and beautiful, with juicy pulp, sweet and delicious taste and rich nutrition. I bought a lot of cherries today and couldn't finish them all, so I made a very simple sugar-soaked cherries.

Steps

  1. The main ingredients are 500g of washed cherries and 200g of white sugar (I have a lot of sugar in the jar, so I only used about 200g).

  2. Remove the handles from the washed cherries, take a slightly thinner straw and aim it at the center of the bottom of the cherries.

  3. Push the straw through with a little force, the cherry pit will be pushed out, and the cherry will be relatively intact.

  4. All cherries with the pits removed.

  5. Take a pot, add water and sugar, heat over high heat and stir constantly until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  6. At this time add the cherries and cook for about 2 minutes. If you like the taste to be softer, extend the time appropriately.

  7. Blanch a suitable glass bottle with boiling water and let it dry.

  8. Put the boiled cherries in sugar water into a glass bottle while they are still hot, cover it and turn it upside down to create a vacuum and store it in the refrigerator (I did not cover it for taking pictures).
