Jam Roll
Overview
I've had enough steamed buns, so let's have some jam rolls. It's fast and convenient.

-
Pour the sugar, salt, and yeast into a bowl and melt with warm water. Pour into the white flour and knead the dough. There is no flour on both sides of the basin. Cover the lid and let it sit until the dough starts to rise.
-
The noodles will rise in 30-40 minutes, and it will take longer in winter (you can add warm water to the pot and put the basin in the pot to ferment)
-
Knead the dough to remove excess air, and use a kitchen knife to cut into fist-sized dough balls.
-
Start kneading the dough, remove the air and knead it evenly. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough (it should not be too thin to make the dough rise easily, or it will not rise)
-
Seal the jam and brush the jam evenly on the dough. (I used strawberry jam)
-
Fold the jam skin from top to bottom, just 2-3 finger widths wide. Place the folded noodles into a steamer to rest, turn on the heat and steam for 10-15 minutes.
-
Remove from the pan, let cool and cut into sections.
