Cut the rice cake strips into 4-5cm pieces. (The rice cake strips I bought were about 10cm, so I divided them into two.)

Cut onions into strips; cut carrots into slices.

Pour vegetable oil into the pot. When the oil is hot, add onions and stir-fry until fragrant. Pour in 500ml of water, add a spoonful of Korean chili sauce and stir well. After the water boils, add rice cake strips and cook for 5 minutes (stir constantly during this period to prevent sticking to the pot), and then take it out of the pot.
