Continue to stir, you can prepare a bowl of cold water, use chopsticks to dip a small amount of syrup into the cold water, if the syrup solidifies immediately and does not stick to the teeth, it means the heat is up.

Remove the pot from the heat, put the skewers into the syrup and quickly roll them around. Place in a container sprinkled with sesame seeds, leaving space in between. You need to be quick at this time. If the syrup solidifies, you can put it back on the fire and continue to heat. You can also turn off the heat first to prevent the heat of the pot from burning the syrup and making it taste bitter.
