Overview

For the first time, I used a bread machine to knead the dough, ferment it, then shape it and bake the baguette in the oven. It actually worked. I’m really happy.

  1. Have materials ready.

  2. Add water, salt, sugar, yeast, and high-gluten flour to the inner barrel of the bread machine in sequence, and start the dough mixing process.

  3. Knead the dough for 15 minutes, then pause and add the softened butter cubes.

  4. Continue to start the dough kneading program. Knead the dough for about 30 minutes. The program stops and the dough reaches the expansion stage. Then select the fermentation program of the bread machine and I fermented it for 20 minutes.

  5. Take out the dough, divide it into 3 portions, and let it rest for 15 minutes until it doubles in size.

  6. Take out a piece of dough, flatten it, and use a rolling pin to roll it into a long sheet.

  7. Then roll it up from one end to the other, and roll the other two in the same way.

  8. Then put it in a baking pan, put it in the oven to rise until it triples in size, take it out, and sprinkle some flour on the baking pan.

  9. After fermentation, use a knife to score a few cuts on each top.

  10. Sprinkle some flour on the surface.

  11. Preheat the oven and bake at 180 degrees for 30 minutes.
