Overview
Yogurt and purple rice dew is a cold drink from Yunnan. I used to drink it often when I was in school in Kunming. But the best thing I ever tasted was the purple rice dew made from Sier yogurt in Weishan Ancient City in Dali. Returning to the north has always been on my mind.

First wash the black rice and soak it in water for three hours (or longer)

Cook the black rice in water over slow heat, stir in the rock sugar and cook until it melts, then set aside to cool. Place the cooled rice, yogurt, and milk in the refrigerator (the length of time depends on the individual).
