Rock Sugar Snow Pear
Overview
My boyfriend is sick and has a cough with phlegm. For those studying abroad, getting sick depends on the medicines in stock and your own immunity. I didn’t want to take too much Western medicine and couldn’t buy Chinese medicine, so I stewed some pear to moisten my lungs.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Ingredients: one pear (already cut by me), a small handful of wolfberry, and a small piece of yellow rock sugar (generally single crystal rock sugar is also acceptable)
-
Wash the pears with salt. The salt can wash away the wax on the pear skin. Cut a quarter of the way down the top and use a knife and spoon to scoop out the core
-
Put washed wolfberry and yellow rock sugar in the dug heart (I put one as big as longan and break it into small pieces)
-
Cover the pear with a lid and find a bowl slightly larger than the pear. Add cold water to the pot, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to medium-low heat and steam for an hour
-
After steaming, there will be some juice in the bowl and you can drink it because the skin has been washed very clean
