Chaoshan Casserole Porridge
I grew up in a place close to the sea. There is a kind of porridge called Chaoshan casserole porridge. It can be cooked with many ingredients, including dry goods, seafood, rivers, fresh turtles, snakes, turtles, frogs and birds. It has a fresh taste and winter vegetables are added to the seasoning. The cooking method is simple and basically the same. It’s just that the cooking time of different ingredients is different. The focus is on dipping. Each family has its own recipe. I went to the seafood market today and saw baby geoducks on sale for 48 yuan each. I had never made one myself, so I decided to buy one and take it home to try it out! When I went home and cleaned it, I was dumbfounded. The internal organs inside took up half of the weight, and in the end, only a little bit of the sliced meat was left! Usually geoduck is used for sashimi or porridge. I thought the amount was too small, so I decided to fry it with some pickles and spring bamboo shoots!
