Radish Steak
When I was in middle school, I left home and had food and accommodation in school. At that time, life was relatively poor. What impressed me most was that there were radishes every day in the school cafeteria, including stewed radish, fried shredded radish, fried dried radish, fried radish slices, hot and sour radish, etc. Among them, stewed radish was the most commonly eaten, and it was also the most unpalatable. My husband went to the same school as me, and we became friends after a few years. When we talked about the carrot meal we had at school, we told each other that carrots were the most unpalatable food in the world, because after three years at school we were already afraid of eating carrots. Later, we got married, and then I became the logistics director of the family. The healthy diet of my family gradually became something I had to consider every day. As the saying goes, eating radish in winter is better than ginseng, so radish is gradually being used in my daily cooking. At first, my husband still resisted eating carrots. In order to balance my diet, I had to give in to him. Doesn’t he like to eat meat and ribs? He had no choice but to stick the meat on the radish and make it into the shape of ribs. When he first ate it, he didn't know it was made from radish. This time he didn't refuse and ate it very happily, because the sweet, sour, salty and slightly spicy ribs were his favorite. After passing this hurdle, from now on, radish can be made into various dishes and can appear freely on my dining table. Because of my excellent cooking, he gradually started to like radish.
