Baked Bacon Mashed Potatoes
Overview
This baked mashed potato is one of the most popular dishes in my family. Although the steps are a little complicated, it tastes super good. Friends who come here also like it. It can be used as a side dish with seafood and steak, or it can be used as a staple food.

Ingredients: potatoes bacon light cream butter mixed with pepper salt sugar
-
Clean the soil from the outer skin of the potatoes, and use a knife to make a cross on the surface, which is only 2 or 3 mm deep, so that it can be easily peeled after cooking.
-
Put water in the pot to cover the potatoes, bring to a boil over high heat, then adjust the heat to medium and simmer for about 40 minutes until chopsticks can completely pierce the potatoes.
-
Take the potatoes out and let cool slightly. You can see the cross and it’s super easy to peel.
-
Peel potatoes while still hot.
-
Use a spoon to press the potatoes into mashed potatoes. If you like finer mashed potatoes, you can sieve them. I like a slightly grainy one, so just use a spoon to make it.
-
Add a knob of butter to the mashed potatoes and mix well while still hot.
-
Add appropriate amount of fresh cream and stir evenly.
-
Add appropriate amount of mixed pepper.
-
Add appropriate amount of salt.
-
Add appropriate amount of sugar and stir evenly.
-
Cut the bacon into small cubes.
-
Heat the pot without adding oil, add the chopped bacon and stir-fry.
-
Sauté until the bacon is crumbled deep red and slightly charred around the edges.
-
Add the fried bacon crumbs to the mashed potatoes and stir evenly.
-
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and smooth the mashed potatoes roughly.
-
Spread a layer of mozzarella cheese over the mashed potatoes.
-
Bake in the oven for about 20 minutes until the cheese turns slightly golden.
