  1. Add cold water to sago and stir evenly to make it wet.

  2. Add granulated sugar and mix well.

  3. Set aside red bean paste.

  4. Cut off the heads and tails of the rice dumpling leaves, soak them, remove and drain.

  5. Fold the rice dumpling leaves into a funnel shape, scoop in the sago and press it tightly.

  6. Add appropriate amount of red bean paste.

  7. Add sago again and compact as much as possible.

  8. Wrap the rice dumplings tightly and tie them with straw rope.
