Nanzhao herbal tea

Nanzhao herbal tea

Overview

The first time I drank Nanzhao herbal tea was when I got married to my husband. When I was served, I saw the color of the soup. It was dark and felt like Chinese medicine. I tasted it tentatively and fell in love with it deeply. Later, I learned that there are various ingredients used to make herbal tea here, but most of them are the type of herbal medicine that can clear away heat and detoxify. There are flowers, such as honeysuckle, white chrysanthemum, and usnea flowers; roots, such as thatch root, reed root, and rehmannia root; leaves, such as bamboo leaves and eucommia leaves; fruits, such as gardenia, barley, and white rose beans; and whole plants, such as Prunella vulgaris, Houttuynia cordata, yellow seedlings, and cabbage. Mountain people drink two bowls of it every day. It is bitter but sweet, and astringent but fragrant. It not only replenishes water but also removes anger. It has multiple benefits and a long-lasting taste. Dig some Chinese herbal medicine, wash it with water, simmer it carefully in an iron pot over a slow fire, and drink it while it's hot. Drink it in large bowls, which is called drinking herbal tea.
