Hanging Frost Peanuts
Overview
Peanuts with white frosting are a great casual snack. Take one, hold it in your mouth, wait for the frosting to melt completely, then bite the peanuts into pieces for another crispy snack. Revisiting the way you used to eat as a child feels like you are back in your childhood.

Put the peanut kernels into the pot (no oil required), stir-fry over low heat until fragrant, take out and let cool.

Add the cornstarch to the pot and stir-fry until cooked.

Pour water and sugar into the pot at the same time, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to medium-low heat.

Boil until there are a lot of bubbles in the syrup. Use a spatula dipped in a little syrup to hang it and pull it out, then reduce the heat to low. Pour in the peanuts and quickly stir in the syrup to coat the peanuts evenly.

Sift in the starch using a sieve.

Stir quickly. When the surface of the peanuts is covered with icing sugar and you can clearly feel that they have become crispy, turn off the heat and serve.

Use a sieve to remove the excess starch from the fried frosted peanuts.
