Wash the clams several times and soak them in water.

Rinse clean after soaking. Place into pot of boiling water.

Cook until all clams open, then remove. Plate the soup to clarify.

Chop onions, ginger, and garlic.

Slice the melon into slices.

Put a little oil in the pan. Add green onion root, ginger slices and garlic slices.

Pour in the clarified clam broth and bring to a boil.

Add the melon slices and cook for about 2 minutes.
