Date paste yam balls
Overview
Date paste and yam cake is a Red Mansion delicacy, which was taken by Qin Keqing when he was ill. The yam nourishes the spleen and stomach, helps digestion, and the red dates nourish qi and blood, which is good for beauty. Combining the two together is nutritious and delicious. I happened to have dates and yams at home, so I tried to make it. I didn’t use a mold to emboss it to save trouble. I found that it would be cute to directly roll it into a round shape, so I just made it into a ball-shaped date paste and yam cake.
