Strawberry Jam
Overview
Strawberries are delicious red and tender, with juicy pulp, sweet and sour taste, rich fruit flavor, and very rich nutrition. They are fruits with good color, fragrance and flavor. Strawberries are an important source of essential fiber, iron, potassium, vitamin C, flavonoids and other ingredients necessary for the human body. These nutrients have a good effect on growth and development. Strawberries are easily digested and absorbed by the human body. You will not catch cold or get angry if you eat more of them. They are a popular and healthy food suitable for all ages and are of great benefit to the elderly and children. I had a large amount of jam this time. There were 11 bottles of large and small bottles in total. It took two buckets of bread machine to make it. But it doesn’t matter, anyway, it won’t go bad after being stored for more than half a year. My husband and children love to eat it, and for the sake of health, it is worthwhile to store this delicious food. This is probably because food is born out of love!

Ingredients
Steps
-
Wash the cleaned strawberries in clean water, soak them in clean water and add some salt for 10 minutes, then take them out and remove the moisture
-
Use a knife to cut the strawberry in half
-
Add sugar
-
Mix well, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight
-
Rinse the glass bottles with iron caps, put them into a pot of boiling water with the caps and sterilize them for 10 minutes. Take them out and invert them until the water in the bottles has completely evaporated before they can be used. This step is very important. Strawberry jam in incompletely sterilized bottles will easily go bad after being filled.
-
Take out the strawberries that have been pickled overnight. At this time, the strawberries have become wilted and have lost their moisture
-
Place the cooking stick in a bowl and beat until the strawberries become small particles. If you like larger particles, you can beat it a few times less. (If you cook it manually in a stainless steel pot, you can omit the stirring step. The strawberries will break into pieces during constant stirring)
-
Pour the soup into the bread machine together and set the feature - jam function. One program lasts for 1 hour. I used two programs
-
Add lemon juice when the jam is finished
-
After the two processes are completed, the jam turns deep red and has just the right consistency for spreading on bread and cakes
-
When the jam is ready, bottle it immediately, seal the cap and turn it upside down. After it cools down, place it in the back of the refrigerator and store it in the bottle. Although the homemade strawberry jam does not contain preservatives, it can be stored for about half a year. It is recommended to use small bottles and consume it as soon as possible after opening.
