Homemade salt water popsicles
Overview
Since last week, we have really entered the hot summer mode, with temperatures above 36 degrees every day. It’s so hot. I dug out the ice tray from the cabinet and made some lemon ice cubes to prepare lemon ice water to drink at any time. I dug out this popsicle mold again, and suddenly I wanted to make popsicles. I remembered buying popsicles when I was a kid, so I decided to make the simplest salt water popsicle.

Steps
-
Find a clean bowl and pour 200ml of hot water. It doesn’t have to be freshly boiled water, it just needs to be relatively hot. Because it is easier to melt salt and sugar with hot water.
-
Add salt and sugar and stir with a spoon to completely dissolve.
-
Add a little cornstarch and mix well. Starch is added for better coagulation. If there is glutinous rice flour, it will feel better because starch easily sinks to the bottom.
-
After the sugar water is ready, let it cool. In order to prevent small bugs from falling in, it is best to cover it. Wash and dry the popsicle molds beforehand. In order to add a little flavor, I added some baking lemon juice to the sugar water and stirred it a few times. Then portioned into molds.
