  1. Soak glutinous rice in cold water for about 4 hours. The picture shows the rice after soaking.

  2. Take out the soaked rice and spread it evenly in the electric pressure cooker. (Put it in your hands and wait for a while before putting it in the pot. Empty the water.) Next, spread an even layer of red dates. Spread another layer of rice.

  3. Repeat step 2 two to three times. This is the top layer, with a total of three layers of rice and three layers of dates. Steam it in a pot. After steaming for more than an hour, open the pot and see if the rice is dry. Pour a bowl of water down to make sure the rice is not buried. Cover the pot and continue cooking. After more than an hour, open the lid and add water. Repeat this many times, the longer the better. I filled it with water 4 times.
