Honey red beans

Honey red beans

Overview

I’ve seen a lot of recipes for honey red beans here in the food world. Basically, you have to soak the red beans for several hours before making them. However, my usual method of making it does not require soaking, and no one is watching. It is simple and easy to make it directly in a stew pot.

  2. Put the red beans into the electric stew pot and add appropriate amount of water. Students who are less familiar with the amount of water would rather have more water and just pour out the red bean soup; too little may cause the beans to be cooked.

  3. When~when~when~when~~The magic tool - the electric stew pot~~The time setting is usually at least 2 and a half hours. Some older models of stew pots can be set to 3 hours directly. Put the red beans in the stew pot to simmer before going to bed at night. Don’t worry about it anymore. You can continue when you get up the next day😁

  4. This is the finished product of a recent stew. The amount of water is just right. The beans on top are fully cooked and there is not much water left at the bottom.

  5. Pour out the excess red bean water in the stew pot and sprinkle sugar on top. You can directly stir the white sugar and red beans evenly and leave them alone; you can also stew them again without stirring. This time should not exceed half an hour, usually about 20 minutes. After simmering, take out the stew pot and set it aside to wait for the red beans to cool down.

  6. This is after adding sugar and simmering again.

  7. Add sugar to the stewed honey red beans and let them cool down before putting them in the refrigerator for later use. I prefer to add an appropriate amount of honey to the cooled honey red beans, stir well and refrigerate.

  8. The prepared honey red beans can be used to prepare a variety of delicacies~~can be used as fillings to make bread, cakes, buns, etc. ; Can be used as an additive to various drinks to make four-fruit soup, sago, etc. My kids also like to add some honeyed red beans directly to the porridge to make red bean rice~~
