Set aside rock sugar.

Sweet potato starch water is reserved.

Wash the apples.

Peel.

Cut into thin slices.

Cut hawthorn cake into small pieces.

Put hawthorn cake and appropriate amount of water in the pot.

Bring to a boil, turn to low heat, and simmer for about five minutes.

Add the apples again.

Cook for about five minutes, pour in the blended sweet potato starch water, stir slowly with a spoon, and cook for about three minutes.
