Dilute the yeast powder with water, add water and a little sugar and wait for the flour to ferment

Dip the fermented dough into dry flour and knead it into a dough

Use a rolling pin to roll it into a 0.5cm round cake shape. Apply peanut oil evenly and sprinkle with an appropriate amount of salt. You can also sprinkle with chopped green onion according to personal preference

Roll into long strips and cut evenly

Stack two cut dough rolls together and gently stretch and twist them into flower rolls

Add enough water to the steamer, put the flower rolls in the pot and let them rest for 30 minutes

Steam the woke Hanamaki over high heat. Once the pot is steamed up, start timing for 20 minutes and turn off the heat

Take out of the pot
