Pick off the ends of the beans.

Bring water to a boil over high heat, pour the beans into the pot and blanch until cooked, about 2-3 minutes.

Cut the beans in half, then tie a knot, and continue to wrap the extra ends into the bean circle until it becomes a round shape.
