Walnut Bacon Scones
Overview
I still had a little whipped cream left over from making the egg tarts yesterday, so I didn’t need to spoil it, so I thought of making this scone. Because my son likes salty food, I made a salty scone. Replacing the milk with light cream adds a milky flavor, and with the perfect combination of walnuts and bacon, it’s so delicious!

Ingredients
Steps
-
Cut the butter into cubes and defrost it in the microwave or soften it at room temperature. (Personally, I think it is more convenient to defrost it in the microwave, but pay attention to the time when thawing and don't melt the butter. Butter cannot be softened at room temperature except when the weather is hot)
-
Sift in the flour and baking powder and knead the flour and butter evenly with your hands.
-
Add light cream, salt and sugar and mix well
-
Add egg liquid and mix well
-
Cut the bacon into cubes and mix well
-
Heat the walnuts in the microwave
-
Crush the walnuts and mix well
-
Place the mixed dough between two pieces of plastic wrap and roll it out with a rolling pin
-
Place on a baking sheet (apply a layer of oil on the baking sheet first), cut into pieces with a knife, and bake in the middle of the oven at 200 degrees for 20 minutes.
-
The crispy and fragrant scones are out of the oven. I rolled them a little thin so the baked scones become crispy and crispy. If you like the scones crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, you can roll the dough a little thicker.
