Jam bread
Overview
Freshly baked jam bread, homemade hawthorn sauce is sour and sweet, and it is also very delicious when rolled into bread and baked. Originally, I wanted to make a bun, but my child didn't like the shape, so I had to use this round mold, so I rolled it in a circle and baked it. Looking at this bread, I suddenly remembered a past incident in my childhood. When I was a child, my family was not rich, and my mother basically didn’t buy snacks for me. In addition, there were not so many delicious foods in that era, so I always thought that bread was a very high-end food. What impressed me the most was the rectangular bread with raisins inside and a grape pattern on the wrapper. It felt so fragrant and satisfying when I took a bite, as if I had eaten the most delicious thing. One time I saw a bread in the refrigerator. The shape and volume were almost the same as the jam bread I baked today. The transparent packaging bag said "Crown Bread". It was the first time I saw such a big bread, especially the way it looked like a big crown. I was excited and surprised. Then my mother and grandma said that it was for Longlong. Longlong is the child of my mother’s colleague’s aunt. Maybe his family helped my family in some way at that time. I suddenly felt so sad. I had never seen bread like this in my dreams. I liked it so much, but I didn’t even dare to say it out loud. Why was I so timid at the time? I had always listened to what adults said. I had ten thousand reluctances and grievances hidden in my heart. So I took out the bread and looked at it over and over again, held it in my arms, touched it through the packaging, smelled the fragrance, and couldn't put it down, but I didn't dare to eat it. Of course, it left me in the end... It's so pitiful when I think about it now.
