Baked dough pastry cake
Overview
As the name suggests, sugar cakes must be flour cakes made with white sugar or brown sugar. However, my puff pastry cake is not filled with sugar but with candied date paste. The candied date paste is made from fine donkey hide gelatin and candied dates. Even though there is no added sugar, the resulting cake is still sweet and fragrant. Absolutely natural sweetness and mellow fragrance.
