Steps
-
Spread the Santos green beans sparsely on a baking sheet, leaving space for the beans to expand as they heat.
-
Preheat the oven to 100 degrees Celsius, put the coffee beans into the roasting pan, and dehydrate for 15 minutes. The coffee beans will exude bean aroma and gradually turn yellow-brown during the dehydration process. Adjust the oven temperature to 150 degrees and bake for 5 minutes; then adjust the oven temperature to 190 degrees and bake for 3 minutes; after the ignition stage, the color of the coffee beans quickly becomes darker and enters the first crack stage.
-
seconds after the first crack, take out the coffee roasting pan and remove half of the coffee beans to cool down to retain the fruity aroma of the Santos. The other half of the coffee beans are quickly returned to the oven and roasting continues.
-
The other half of the coffee beans are roasted again for 90 seconds, taken out when they are close to the second crack, mixed with the first half of the beans, and laid flat to cool down.
-
The coffee beans are ground into fine powder without removing the skin.
-
Pour 300 ml of hot water (2 cups) into the lower pot of the siphon pot. Be sure to dry the body and bottom of the pot to avoid explosion during heating.
-
Hook up the filter element on the siphon pot.
-
Light the alcohol lamp.
-
Insert the upper pot of the siphon pot obliquely into the lower pot, and heat the lower pot with an alcohol lamp.
-
After the water in the lower pot boils, it rises to the upper pot.
-
When all the boiling water rises to the upper pot, and the bubbles become smaller, add 30 grams of Sandoz coffee powder and brew for 3 minutes (during brewing, use a stir stick to gently press the coffee powder into the water).
-
Extinguish the alcohol lamp.
-
As the temperature of the pot body decreases, the coffee in the upper pot is automatically filtered into the lower pot.
-
Wait for all the coffee from the upper pot to be filtered into the lower pot.
-
Pour the brewed coffee into the cup. It retains the fresh taste of Sandoz lemon and berry, with a rich chocolate aftertaste.
