Cut the freshly picked roselle flowers in half, remove the seeds and impurities in the middle, and leave the calyx. Clean the calyx and dry it for later use.

Pour the dried calyx into a basin, add appropriate amount of salt, mix well, and marinate for 8 hours.

Drain the water from the pickled roselle flowers and set aside.
