Material diagram. Pumpkin and ribs
-
Use a paring knife to scoop out the pumpkin lid and hollow it out with a spoon, as shown in the picture
-
Wash and drain the pork ribs, heat a pan with oil, add some sugar and fry until brown. (Because I didn’t marinate it in advance, I’m afraid it won’t retain its color when steamed. If you marinate it in advance, you can skip this step)
-
Once the sugar is browned, start seasoning. Add appropriate amount of soy sauce and a little vinegar and bring to a boil over high heat. Just taste it to see if it tastes right. No need to stew it until it becomes soft. (Or you can fry the sugar color, add the seasonings directly and simmer in the microwave for two minutes)
-
Hollow and drain the pumpkin, then add the ribs.
-
Cover it to prevent moisture from entering, put it in a pressure cooker and steam it over water.
-
Steam for half an hour and remove from the pot.
-
Uncover and let cool
-
Let’s eat! The pumpkin is very soft and the flavor of the ribs is also permeated.
-
Delicious.
