Steps
-
Prepare ingredients~ (mung beans, kidney beans, and purple sweet potatoes are all used for stuffing~)
-
Method: (divide into two parts: skin and filling) 1. Mooncake skin: Soak sago in water for 15-30 minutes.
-
Stuffing: 27 made a total of 3 different flavors of stuffing. Well~ the methods are the same~ 27 took mung beans as an example to explain~ as follows~~ (After the kidney beans and purple sweet potatoes are cooked, remember to clean the skins!) 1. Soak the mung beans and kidney beans in water for more than 5 hours. 27 They were soaked the night before.

-
Steam the mung beans in a steamer, take them out and crush them. (Mung beans 27 are not peeled, because if you use a blender to grind them, the skins can be broken together~)
-
Pour oil into the hot pan. When the oil is about halfway cooked, pour in the mung bean flour. (Note, do not pour a lot of oil and mung bean flour at once, add it little by little~ Therefore, the oil must be vegetable oil without flavor. If animal oil is used, the taste of the stuffing will become very strange due to freezing!)
-
After adding white sugar (or brown sugar), continue to press the mung bean powder, add sugar and mung beans to fully combine, continue to stir-fry and press the mung bean powder, add a little oil after the oil is dry (repeat the action of adding oil about 3 or 4 times).
-
Okay~ All the stuffings are ready~ Well~ the other two flavors of stuffings are made in the same way! Everything is ready, let’s start making snow skin mooncakes!
-
Start wrapping: 1. Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil on the mold to make it easier to take out the mooncakes. Then, spread a layer of soaked sago on the bottom layer of the mold. (Keep a bowl of water nearby to prevent sago from sticking to your hands.)
-
Spread a layer of stuffing on top of the sago.
-
Spread a layer of sago on top of the stuffing and press it slightly!
-
After all the molds are ready, put them into the steamer, cover the lid and steam for 30-60 minutes, until all the sago dew becomes transparent.
-
Done! It's very simple! Hee hee hee~~
