Beef stew with potatoes
Overview
I had a day off, and there was a piece of beef and a few potatoes in the refrigerator. I didn’t go out all day, so I could only use these two things for dinner. Beef and mutton are more suitable for eating in winter. They are right and wrong, which is called good or bad in our words.

The raw materials are as shown in the picture, potatoes and beef cut into pieces

First, boil the beef in boiling water to remove the blood. I forgot to take pictures. When the oil in the wok is hot, add rock sugar and simmer over low heat until bubbling

Pour in beef and stir-fry, add star anise, cinnamon cooking wine and a small amount of dark soy sauce and stir-fry until fragrant

Add water to the pot and stew the beef, then simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes

Add potatoes and simmer until soft

When the soup is almost done, add salt and it's ready to serve.
