Overview

This skin jelly is made from pigs killed every Chinese New Year when I was a kid. It is a must-make dish at home. It is made with only pig skins, garlic soy sauce, and is translucent. It is a unique delicacy in the Northeast. It may be the favorite delicacy on the tongue of every Northeastern person. I ate it once when I went home during the winter vacation and had a long aftertaste. Now there are some places where you can eat it here. But let’s not talk about the taste. It’s also expensive. A small dish only costs 10 yuan. As a foodie who loves to cook, how could I not try to make it myself? I couldn’t help but ask my family how to make it. I tried making it.   1. Wash about 300g of pig skin, put it into a pot and boil the water for about 10 minutes. Remove the remaining pig hair from the shaved pig skin

  2. Cut all the pig skins into thin strips and wash them repeatedly with cold water to remove the residual lard on the pig skins. There will be no obvious oil splash on the surface. Add twice the amount of water to the pig skins and bring to a boil over high heat

  4. When you turn it over, skim off the white foam on the surface and cook over low heat for an hour

  5. After an hour, pour the boiled semi-finished skin jelly into a container and let it cool down before putting it in the refrigerator. The delicious skin jelly is now complete
