Steamed cake

Steamed cake

Overview

I bought some baking tools years ago but didn't have time to buy the oven together. After thinking about it, I decided to steam them since I couldn't bake them. Steamed cakes are actually quite suitable in dry seasons like spring, especially for babies who love fire. Soft and sweet, suitable for all ages~

Steps

  1. Mix 2g baking powder into 100g flour and mix well.

  2. Add 2 eggs and 30g of sugar into an oil-free and water-free container. (If you like it sweeter, you can add 50g of white sugar, and add it in two times during the whipping process. I personally don’t like it very sweet, so I added 30g.)

  3. Use a whisk to beat the whole eggs until they become white and thick. PS: Manually beating eggs is definitely a tear-jerking process, so I’ll omit 10,000 words here. Be careful not to use eggs that have just been taken out of the refrigerator, remember! (It’s hard to beat eggs now that it’s cold, so you can use hot water.)

  4. Pour 80ml of milk into the beaten egg mixture, then slowly sift in the flour. (The cake made with fresh sifting will be more fluffy. If not, you can just add flour directly.)

  5. Mix the flour into the cake batter. At this time, you should pay attention to turning it up and down when mixing. Don't make circles. Just stir until there are no lumps. Stir as little as possible, otherwise the cake will not be noisy if the flour is strong!

  6. Brush a layer of salad oil into the cake mold and set aside.

  7. Pour the cake batter into the cake mold and let it sit for 20 minutes to allow the baking powder to rise.

  8. Add water to the steamer and bring to a boil, add the risen cake batter, turn to medium heat and steam for 15 minutes.

  9. Unmold the cake after fifteen minutes. Be sure not to let the water from the lid drip onto the cake.

  10. Finally, you can make various decorations on the cake embryo. I spread a little cream and added strawberries and pineapple in sugar water. Everyone can use their imagination - jam, yogurt, chocolate sauce... they can all be used for DIY! Since I am the only one at home today, I decorated a small piece, hehe~
