A piece of puff pastry.

Cut into two 10*10 squares.

Fold diagonally into a triangle and cut each side about 1 cm from the edge, but do not cut off.

Open, cross left and right.

Place in baking pan to rise.

Brush egg white on the surface and middle. Do not brush the sides to create the crispy layer, as it will affect the layering.

Add sliced almonds. Feel free to add jam, nuts or fruit in the middle.

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees and bake on the middle rack for 15 minutes.
