As the Dragon Boat Festival approaches, many friends have already started wrapping rice dumplings at home. It is inevitable that some families will have leftover ingredients and it would be a pity to throw them away, so let’s use the ingredients for making zongzi to make a popular delicacy among friends! The ingredients are also common ingredients that are readily available. Of course, the taste will never let you down!
-
Choose the amount of glutinous rice you want (how many eggs you want to steam), and soak it for more than 5 hours in advance (the soaked glutinous rice left over from making rice dumplings is used here)
-
There is a small amount of corn kernels. In fact, you can also add diced mushrooms, but I happen to run out of them at home (soak the dried mushrooms)
-
I personally like potatoes very much, they taste soft and delicious when put together! Just cut into cubes!
-
Marinate the pork belly with salt, cooking wine, light soy sauce, and dark soy sauce for about half an hour.
-
Put these ingredients together, then add salt, dark soy sauce (for color), light soy sauce, and cooking oil! Soak for about 5 minutes
-
Knock a small hole in the small end of the egg, but use gentle force so as not to break it. The egg whites are separated, leaving only the yolk in the shell.
-
Fill the mixed ingredients into the eggs. Remember: don’t fill them too full, as the steamed glutinous rice will expand and take up space!
-
Then put it in a steamer or rice cooker and steam for about 40 minutes!

Don’t be afraid to wait for delicious food, it’s delicious!
