Warm drink in winter – brown sugar and crushed ginger milk tea

Due to the recent COVID-19 epidemic, I stay at home and want to drink milk tea every day, but I don’t dare to go out, so I decided to make my own milk tea, which is more secure to drink.

Have materials ready.

Pour the boiling water and tea leaves into the pot and bring to a simmer.

Add the ginger-flavored brown sugar to the tea leaves and stir until it melts (here is a close-up picture of the product, haha).

After the sugar melts, pour the tea water into a sieve to filter out the tea water.

Pour the filtered tea and milk into the pot, stir and bring to a boil, then turn off the heat.

Just pour it into a cup. I use my own ancient brown sugar, which comes in original flavor, ginger flavor, red date ginger flavor, osmanthus flavor, and red date and wolfberry flavor. Therefore, different flavors of brown sugar can also make different flavors of milk tea! My cup of milk tea tastes exactly the same as the crushed ginger milk tea sold in the milk tea shop downstairs for 18 yuan a cup, and the total cost is only about 3 yuan.

I like to drink tea with a stronger flavor. If you don't like strong tea, you can put less tea leaves or more milk. The finished product I made here is about 250ml. If you like to drink ice, you can also add ice cubes!
