Milk salt chive soda crackers
Overview
I've been craving for savory snacks lately, so I made these cookies! I saw another recipe before, so I improved it myself, and it tastes delicious when baked! 🌸

All the ingredients are used, but the amount of chives is based on personal taste. This time I didn’t put as much as in the picture, I used about one-third!
-
Heat the milk slightly, just warm it (otherwise the dry yeast will be burned to death and the dough will not rise)! Mix 100g flour, 15g butter, 3g dry yeast, 1g baking soda, and 1g salt evenly, mix with heated milk to form a smooth dough, cover it with a damp cloth (to prevent the dough from drying out), and let it sit for more than half an hour. When the dough rises slightly and there are some bubbles on the surface, it's ok! Add white sesame seeds and chopped green onion, mix well.
-
While the chive dough is resting, mix the pastry dough ingredients into a smooth dough.
-
Roll out the chive dough into a thin pancake, then place the pastry dough on top and roll into a thin pancake.
-
Fold the dough in thirds, wrap the pastry dough inside, roll it out into a thinner cake, fold it in thirds, roll it out again, repeat three times.
-
Roll the dough into a thin pancake, about 2mm thick.
-
Use a cookie cutter to cut out the shape and use a fork to make holes. Or use a fork to make small holes first and then cut the dough into square slices. Line a baking sheet with greaseproof paper.
-
After preheating the oven to 180 degrees, place a baking sheet on the middle shelf and heat up and down for 15 minutes. If the dough is thicker, the time will be longer. Once the cookies are colored, they’re basically ready!
