Sweet and savory Japanese chicken skewers. Chicken and scallions (called Negima in Japanese) are one of the classic combinations - go with both rice and wine~

Cut chicken and scallions into bite-size pieces. Mix all seasonings and set aside.

Thread the chicken and green onions alternately (as shown in the picture).

Grill the chicken skewers until cooked. I used a grill pan that Japanese people use for grilling fish, but you can also use a frying pan instead.

Pour sauce into pan and heat. until the sauce thickens,

Put the grilled chicken skewers in and let the sauce evenly coat the surface.
