“Colorful Horse” Plate
Overview
Everything else is fine, but it requires knife skills to reach an advanced level. My knife skills are terrible, so I wasted a lot of materials. At least I managed to get so much that I can make it into flowers.

Wash the carrots and cut off the heads

Put vinegar in a bowl

Pour in sugar and a little salt. The purpose of adding salt is mainly to soften the carrot slices and make it easier to roll the flowers

When I sliced the carrots, I thought about it. If they were too thin, they wouldn’t be able to roll into flowers, and if they were too thick, they wouldn’t work. About 1 mm is just right.

Marinate the carrot slices in sweet and sour sauce and pick them up with chopsticks. Just make sure they are not stiff and have enough hardness to support the flower shape.
