【Homemade Honey Red Beans】---Cook a pot of lingering and glutinous sweetness
Overview
Honey red beans are always in my refrigerator. They can be eaten directly or used to make bread, cakes, yogurt, etc. Of course, you can also make honey soy milk for breakfast. Looking at these plump, pink and glutinous honey red beans in the picture, I always feel full of temptation. Red beans, also known as acacia beans, rice beans, rice beans and adzuki beans, are highly nutritious and multi-functional cereals that are indispensable in people's lives. They contain more saponins, which can stimulate the intestines, have a good diuretic effect, can relieve hangover and detoxification, and are good for heart disease, kidney disease and edema; they are also beneficial to heart disease, kidney disease and edema. Containing more dietary fiber, it has good functions of laxative, lowering blood pressure, lowering blood lipids, regulating blood sugar, detoxifying and anti-cancer, preventing stones, and strengthening and losing weight. In addition, it is also a food rich in folic acid, so pregnant women and wet nurses who eat more red beans can also have the effect of promoting lactation.

Steps
-
Soak the red beans in water for half a day, pick out the bad beans and wash them.
-
Add an appropriate amount of water to the pot, pour in the soaked red beans and cook until the water boils, then cook for about 1 to 2 minutes.
-
Remove and wash. (This step is like blanching when we cook, it can effectively remove the beany smell, leaving only the sweetness of red beans)
-
Pour the washed red beans into a casserole (you can also use a pressure cooker if you don’t have a casserole), and add an appropriate amount of water again. The amount of water is based on the height of about 1 cm below the red beans as a reference)
-
Cover and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 40 minutes.
-
Cook until the red beans are mushy and there is just no water in the pot, then turn off the heat. (If you are using an ordinary pressure cooker, boil it over high heat and then simmer over high heat for about half an hour)
-
Spread the cooked red beans evenly into the container, until one layer of red beans and one layer of white sugar are spread. (The amount of sugar depends on your preference.)
-
Cover the lid, cool and refrigerate overnight, and the honey red beans are ready.
-
For breakfast, you can take an appropriate amount of honey red beans, heat the milk, and put them into a blender together.
-
Stir evenly and you will have sweet red bean milk.

Simple and nutritious!
