After washing the shrimps and removing the shrimp threads, slice them in the middle without cutting off the abdomen.

Then slice the shrimp meat once on each side. If you find it troublesome, you can also slice the shrimp meat evenly with three knives. Try to slice the shrimp meat evenly in thickness and keep the abdomen connected.
