Steamed buns
Overview
As a southerner, it’s a bit difficult to learn how to make steamed buns, steamed buns, and dumplings without a master, but luckily I found a master who knows everything in the world - the Internet. My two babies like to eat steamed buns and steamed buns, but they only eat the steamed bun skins😂

Ingredients
Steps
-
Put a little warm water in a small bowl to melt the yeast first
-
Take a container, pour 500g of flour, and add appropriate amount of sugar
-
Break in an egg
-
Pour the yeast that has been mixed with chopsticks or a spoon into the flour
-
Heat the milk first and then slowly pour it into the flour. Use chopsticks or your hands to knead the flour
-
Knead the flour into a dough. If the ratio of flour to milk is correct, the basin will be cleaner
-
Put some flour on the bottom of the dough, cover it and let it rest for 15-20 minutes
-
The risen dough will be several times bigger
-
There are many small holes indicating that the fermentation is very good
-
Take out the rested dough and knead it until the surface is shiny, then put it in a container and let it rest for 15-20 minutes
-
The dough that has been rested twice will taste softer and chewier
-
The next step is to knead the dough to release the air from the dough, but since I don’t have much strength in my hands, I thought of a simple method. Take half of the dough and roll it out with a rolling pin. You will see many small air holes
-
Knead it into dough again
-
Beat the dough with a rolling pin
-
Roll it out again (see if there are fewer air holes)
-
Knead the dough again and then roll it into a strip
-
Cut it into the desired shape with a knife, let it rest for 1-2 minutes, then steam it for 7 minutes
-
It’s ready. For breakfast, it can be eaten with fried dough sticks, soy milk or milk. For lunch, it can be served with braised pork, spicy and sour potato shreds, etc...
-
Children’s favorite is the soup with braised pork😊

If you think 500g of flour would be too much to make steamed buns, just make half of it for steamed buns and half for steamed buns
