Homemade bean paste filling
Overview
The red bean paste stuffing bought from outside always tastes a bit lacking in texture and has a strange smell. I guess it’s because of the oil used, but it’s the original flavor made at home, which is on point.

Ingredients
Steps
-
Prepare a pot and soak the red beans in water
-
After 12 hours, add brown sugar to the soaked red beans, put them into the electric cooker, steam and simmer for 18 minutes
-
If you like them soft, you can wait a little longer and crush the red beans into puree
-
Heat oil in a pan and prepare fried bean paste
-
When stir-frying the bean paste, be sure to use low heat throughout the process, otherwise it will burn
-
Stir fry and press at the same time. I personally prefer thicker ones, so I don’t put them in the food processor to grind them
-
Fry until it no longer sticks to the pan, and that’s it
-
Let cool, it’s not bad, original flavor, on point
-
Now knead it with your hands and it’s ready to be shaped
